There is a tremendous loss of opportunity as result of U.S. immigration laws. Smart, motivated entrepreneurs who might otherwise be building innovative products and creating jobs, are instead stuck in countries which stifle innovation. Seasteads offer the opportunity for those entrepreneurs to flee those repressive regimes, and fulfill their creative potential.
