A friend's laptop is on life support, and affording a new one would be difficult for her right now. Anyone have one of the following they could spare?
1) Spare laptop. This would be a long term loaner (a few months, I expect), but would be returned eventually. She primarily uses her machine for web and email, but will occasionally need to read/edit Word documents, so it would be ideal if it can run a relatively recent edition of OpenOffice.
2) A copy of Windows 7 64 bit Home Edition. This would be used to re-install her operating system, in an attempt to bring her laptop back to life.
