A campfire story.\

Scientists rank the pain caused by insect stings on the Schmidt scale, from one (least intense) to four (most intense).\
\
For example, fire ants rate a one on Schmidt scale. At the other end, bullet ants rate a four. They are so named because their sting feels like a gunshot wound.\
\
Some psychedelics, like LSD or DMT can alter one\'s perception of time. They can make seconds feel like years. A lifetime can pass in the time it takes to make a bowl of popcorn.\
\
At some point, scientists will understand the neurological mechanisms underlying both the time dilation of DMT, and the pain of the bullet ant.\
\
I\'m sure you can see where I\'m going with this.\
\
Someday soon scientists will be able to induce an eternity of pain at will. An eternity that only lasts half an hour in objective time.\
\
Should make for some interesting fencing products.
