Gawker Media is a wretched hive a scum and villainy. But I disagree with Thiel on this one. What happens when the next Spitzer scandal comes along? Or the next Cosby? The next Hastert? The same technique being used by Thiel now will be used by powerful people to shutdown investigations into their sexual misdeeds.
