I dislike Mother Jones politics, for the most part. But I think lawsuits like this are a great hazard to independent journalism. Most libertarian publications are small as well, and a wealthy billionaire with a liberal bent could get them shut down with lawsuits too (even if they technically \"won\" the cases). This is why I think Thiel\'s backing of Hogan\'s case against Gawker was a mistake.\
