Suppose I've hired an admin assistant for $15 K per year (a single Mom right out of college), who also receives $5 K per year in government assistance.
Now suppose, I find an old guy in the same town as me. He's retired, has plenty of savings, doesn't need to work, but wants something to keep busy. He's not taking any government benefits, and he's willing to be my admin assistant for $15 K/year.
Isn't it my moral duty to fire the single Mom, and hire the old guy instead, so that I'm no longer "leeching" off the government?
