This election has made me realize that\--as far as I know\--libertarians don\'t have any practical plans for what to do if we were actually able to win power.\
\
In the black swan event that Gary Johnson had been elected, what would his transition plan have been? Who would he have appointed to 4000+ government positions?\
\
Obviously, libertarians would like to abolish most government agencies or drastically reduce their scope. But how exactly would those agencies be wound down? Right now, there\'s an equilibrium amongst various powerful organizations (corporations, unions, non-profits, churches, military, universities) and voting blocs (old people, the religious right, soldiers, unions) that has accreted over a long period time.\
\
If regulations were struck down all at once, it would likely create power struggles as those organizations jockeyed for advantage under the new regime.\
\
Those power struggles may well result in chaos, demonstrations, even violence.\
\
