Suppose that you were dictator for life, and you took a hankering to revamp US holidays. You decide that there will be 12 major holidays, spread out over 48 days. What holidays would be in your roster? What holidays from other cultures would you include in your roster? (Or features from other holidays.) For example, would you include Carnivale from Brazil? The Lantern festival from Thailand?
