FYI, Twitter is banning links to the Christchurch shooter's manifesto, links to the shooter's video, and quotes from the manifesto. Most other media sites (Google, Facebook, Reddit, Liveleak, etc) are also vigorously scrubbing the video from their sites.
In addition, the New Zealand government, has made it illegal to possess the video (punishable by fines, and a ten year prison sentence).

The video and manifesto are available through the LBRY app (a decentralized, censorship resistant, video sharing app) by searching on "christchurch".
Now, you might be thinking, "They banned it? Good. Why give that maniac any attention."
While I'm sympathetic to the sentiment, there are a number of reasons why such censorship is bad, and why people should not be prevented from seeing the video/manifesto. Not censoring the video:
* Allows police, security guards, and other security personnel to see how such attacks happen, so that they can better defend against them in the future.
* Allows better understanding of the attacker's motives/psychology/methods, which could lead to better identification of warning signs of attack. This is useful information for school counselors, mental health professionals and anyone else dealing with someone who is mentally ill.
* Might allow friends and family of killer to identify collaborators. The Unabomber, for example, was eventually captured because his brother recognized his writing style.
* Prevents the government from suppressing embarrassing or evil behavior on the part of the government. Many terrorist attacks are politically motivated, and while the attacks themselves may be unwarranted, they are often a response to injustices committed by governments against disfavored groups.
* Helps prevent the government from hiding false flag attacks, whether committed by the government itself, or by other organizations. For example, the Gulf of Tonkin incident, which triggered US entry into the Vietnam war is widely considered to be a false flag operation.
