If you want to easily share a file that might be subject to censorship, consider using OnionShare or FilePizza.

Onionshare is best for sharing files where the sender and/or recipient lives in a location where even having the file is a crime. The file is encrypted and sent over the Tor network, so neither sender, nor recipient's IP address is revealed. Files of any size or kind can be sent. However, it requires downloading the OnionShare software (to upload the file) and the Tor Browser Bundle (to download the file).

FilePizza is useful for sharing files where it's not illegal for sender or recipient to own the file, but which might be difficult to acquire (due to corporate censorship, for example). It's also useful for sharing files with people who aren't technically savvy, as it only requires sharing a link that is accessible from a normal browser.

FilePizza files can't be larger than 500 MB if the receiver is using Chrome; they can be larger if the receiver is using Firefox. FilePizza links work only as long as the browser tab you uploaded the file is open.

Both Onionshare and FilePizza are open source.
