If you need a medication, but you can't afford to see a doc to get a prescription, or your doc won't prescribe the medication for some reason, there are some overseas pharmacies that do sell without prescription.

This is a good list:

Note that this wiki is for transexuals who are doing hormone therapy themselves, but the pharmacies frequently sell other meds as well.

Ordering from an overseas pharmacy without a prescription is technically illegal, but the FDA typically does not pursue patients who import less than a three months supply for personal use.

As for quality control, the meds typically come from manufacturers in India, Eastern Europe, or China. IMHO, the risk that they are adulterated with anything harmful is low. These pharmacies already face international law enforcement pressure, and they don't need more heat. However, the risk that they don't contain the listed med at the listed dosage is probably higher.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there's nothing like Energy Control that does QC testing of pharmaceuticals sent in by consumers. (If anyone knows of such a service, please let me know). So, be sure to get bloodwork done to make sure that the medications are having the expected effect. (A good practice in any case.)
