Fantastic news. If Facebook jumps into the crypto space, it will make it safer for other big corporations to do so as well. I expect Google, Amazon, Apple, and others will come out with their own currencies as well, so as not to be beholden to Facebook. They'll pour massive amounts of money into educating their users about crypto, pushing for vendor adoption, pushing for bank acceptance, and so on. Some of them will likely compete with the others on privacy, fungibility, etc.
