This list of items prohibited from import by the Mexican government contains things you might expect: drugs, alcohol, etc.\

But it also contains weird things that I wouldn\'t have predicted. Stone samples. Garbage Pail Kids. Eyeglasses. Yarn.\
\
I wonder what combination of rentseeking and nanny state resulted in those things being put on the list.\
