UPDATE: False request! Please don't forward!

""Thank you for your desire to assist with any language assistance needs during this challenging time. The posting requesting volunteers for language services was a false request. We are sorry for any confusion. Thank you again."

URGENT: You can help remotely: from Anywhere
NY HOSPITAL NEEDS Spanish Speakers for language support using video/audio.

Stony Brook Hospital on Long Island is currently in dire need of bilingual people who can help translate between medical staff and patients/families. They have a particular need for Spanish speakers. No medical background needed, just the ability to help bridge that communication gap.

This would all be done remotely, through Zoom/Skype/Facetime, and no specific hours are necessary. The hospital is looking for a deep bench of volunteers they can call on during those moments when they need this sort of help. Anyone interested should contact [email protected]. Please also think of people you know who are bilingual (particularly in Spanish) and who would be interested in pitching in, and please forward this message to them!

Edit: If you are unable or don't speak spanish, help by spreading the word! you can copy and paste this anywhere!
