Michigan was the last state to bar cops from having penetrative sex with suspects in 2017. However, cops are still allowed to have sexual contact short of penetrative sex in many jurisdictions.\

Sex between prisoners and law enforcement officers is also allowed in 35 states:\

So, amidst the calls for reform of police behavior, there\'s at least one easy reform that both left and right should agree on: make it illegal for law enforcement officers to have any form of sexual contact with suspects, prisoners, defendants, parolees or anyone else in the care of the criminal justice system. Define any sexual contact as presumptively non-consensual assault (even if the victim nominally agreed).
