NPR recently ran a story about how "right-wing extremists" were running over "peaceful protesters". There was not a single mention in the story of the fact that many drivers ran over someone in the course of fleeing the crowd's attack on them. (The closest they come is to say that "another two dozen [collisions] are unclear as to motivation").

Unfortunately for their narrative, NPR didn't vet the photo accompanying the story very well. The photo is a still from a video of a 46 year old black woman who ran over a "protester" while trying to flee a gang trying to assault her.

You can see the video of the assault here:

When NPR realized their mistake, they replaced the photo with one that better fit their narrative (from the 2017 Charleston attack), with the accompanying "correction":

"Editor's note: A previous version of this story included a photo of a protester being struck by a car in Louisville, Kentucky. The photo, chosen by editors, does not appear to be an example of the assaults described in the story, and has been replaced. Police have not charged the driver, but have charged two of the protesters involved in that incident. Authorities continue to investigate."

Note that, again, there was no mention of the fact that the "peaceful protesters" were attacking a black female driver.
