For people who have never heard either song, here is Sandstorm:

I'm not into music or dancing, yet I think I've heard Sandstorm dozens of times. Whereas I'd never heard Percolator before a few days ago.

Conversely, the person who posted this (a black man) had never heard Sandstorm.

Makes me wonder what other songs are cliches in one culture, but utterly unknown outside that culture.
