Idea: Derelict fiberglass boats are often an expensive nuisance. Their last owners often abandon them on the side of the rode or in public waters, their license numbers erased.
But perhaps they could be re-purposed as fencing + rain water cachement + housing?
Imagine a bunch of derelict boats, lined up end to end, and half buried. Similar to Cadillac Ranch, but more densely packed together.
With a few poles, you could stretch some old sails over the top of them to catch rain water, and divert it into the boat. The water could then be used to water plants, trees, etc.
Or you could leave them empty, and rent them out as tiny apartments.
Or maybe cut open the top, and use them as planters for aggressive species, like bamboo.
