A lot of people are making the leap to Parler, Flote, MeWe and Gab. Unfortunately, most of those apps/sites are also a) closed source b) have policies that allow them to censor / ban accounts for any reason, similar to Facebook.\
\
For example:\

\
In order for me to advocate for a new platform, it has to meet the following criteria:\
\
1. Open source\
2. Decentralized (P2P \> Federated \> centralized)\
3. Available on desktop and cell phones.\
4. Transparent, user controlled curation\
5. User controlled data\
6. Incentive aligned business model (business makes money when users are happy)\
7. Decent UI / UX\
8. Plugin system\
\
So far, the following sites seem the most promising to me:\
\
Minds\
Patchwork\
Hubzilla\
Matrix\
Dreamwidth\
Diaspora
