Libertarians make up about 5% of the population, or about 16.5 million people. About 5% of libertarians are black, which means there are ~825,000 black libertarians in the US, roughly the same population as Austin, TX or South Dakota.
While not a large number relative to the rest of the US population, its still far more people than I could ever possibly get to know in my lifetime. Which illustrates the wisdom of the Free State Project--if you feel lonely and isolated because of your beliefs, there's almost certainly enough people in the world who share them that you can find as much community as you can handle--you just have to concentrate them in a single place.
