I was sad to learn that Jenny Slate had stepped down from her role voicing Missy Foreman-Greenwald on the animated comedy, Big Mouth. (Slate, a white, Jewish woman, was deemed insufficiently black to play Missy, a half Jewish / half black grade school girl.)
Therefore, it's nice to see Gal Gadot defend her right to play a historical character whose ethnicity might be somewhat different from her own.
