Socialist ideology is the water in which we swim.
K-12 schools are mostly government run and dominated by the teacher's unions, which lean heavily Democrat. Universities are almost wholly dominated by the left.
So, from the start, most children spend 12 - 16 years steeped in socialist propaganda.
When they leave school, socialist propaganda continues from the news, film, and TV industry, which are also dominated by the left.
Almost all politicians (left and right) seek to expand the scope of government, subsuming more and more of the economy under government control, and shoveling ever increasing amounts of money into the leviathan's maw. (Or, increasingly, simply printing up more money for themselves and their cronies to spend.)
So, the Republicans aren't wrong to call Biden a socialist. They're simply disingenuous for trying to pretend that they aren't as well.
