
If you switch to a different proprietary app (Parler, MeWe, Flote, etc), you're still at the mercy of a single centralized company that can cut you off at any time, for any reason. For example, Parler bans people for many of the same reasons that Twitter does.

If you truly want to be censorship-resistant, you have to switch to an open source, decentralized app (ideally P2P) that you can run on your own servers. You can still be censored (by your ISP, VPS provider, DNS provider), but it's much harder.
