On Thursday, two organizations, the Public Defender Association and the Civil Survival Project, filed a lawsuit demanding repayment of past legal financial obligations on behalf of possibly thousands of people convicted under the now-voided law.
“We think this is a $100 million issue,” said Juliana Roe, policy director of the Washington State Association of Counties."
