I\'m ambivalent about vaccine passports.\
\
On the one hand, I think people have the right to associate (or not) with whom they please. I don\'t have a problem with private citizens who only want to associate with people who have been vaccinated.\
\
On the other, a lot of institutions are state-run (schools, DMV, etc) or de facto state-run (airlines, post offices). And the idea of being compelled to obey state health mandates or be cut off from vital / legally mandated services is repulsive.\
\
And I don\'t think such passports will be \"voluntary\" for long, and will be difficult to reverse once implemented.\
\
Remember, travel passports themselves were originally a \"temporary\" war measure:\

\
Of course, passport laws were never repealed, and now most people don\'t even question the government\'s power to dictate where you can travel.
