When the filmmakers want to show that their protagonist feels lust upon meeting their love interest, they will film the love interest in slow motion and give him/her sparkly eyes. A friend asks: \"i hate that movie trick. is that how the male brain works?\"\
\
I can\'t speak for all hetero male brains, but I think most men scan every women they meet (smell, waist/hip ratio, hair, face, boobs, butt, legs, style, \"gestalt\", etc) to determine whether they\'d \"hit dat\". For most guys, the \"hit dat\" threshold is pretty low; but the higher you are on the \"hit dat\" scale, the more effort they\'ll put into courting you. Most guys know whether they\'d \"hit dat\" in a minute or two.\
\
As he gets to know you, other criteria determine whether a guy will:\
\
\"Date dat\"\
\"Introduce dat to friends\"\
\"Introduce dat to family\"\
\"Date dat exclusively\"\
\"Move in with dat\"\
\"Get a dog with dat\"\
\"Have kids with dat\"\
\"Marry dat\"\
\
From what\'ve read, what guys find physically attractive is quite closely correlated, even cross culturally. (Basically, men spring boners for markers of youth, fertility, and good health.)\
\
Time slowing / twinkly eyes is just a fllmmaker\'s attempt to visually represent men\'s inner emotions. I\'ve never experienced either literally. But I have definitely met women for whom I\'ve felt immediate lust and longing.
