Dr Rebecca Gomperts started the non-profit Aid Access in 2018 to provide information and prescriptions to women in need of a safe abortion. People requesting help are given information about available local services and funding possibilities. If they experience an undue burden to access local care, Dr. Gomperts provides a prescription for the required medicines which those seeking an abortion can have filled.\

Of course, the FDA has declared her work illegal. She\'s now engaged in a court battle with the FDA, to prevent them from seizing the drugs she prescribes:\
