There are a number of parallels between San Francisco, CA and San Juan, Puerto Rico.\
\
In both cities, many storefronts are boarded up. There\'s trash in the streets. Buildings are run down and in poor repair. (Though San Francisco is falling from a place of much greater wealth, so the buildings aren\'t yet the hollowed out shells they are in San Juan.) Many homeless people wander around in mid day.\
\
However, there\'s one area where San Juan is doing better. When you go into a store in San Juan, the goods are still on display.\
When you go into many stores in SF, entire rows of shelves are under lock and key.
