Jonathan Morningstar Your hypothetical seemed to be trying to argue that even if the humanity of the fetus were granted, the mother would still be in her rights to kill it at any time. I'm pointing out why I don't think that's true. I think that the pro-choice position must explain why it's murder to kill a baby immediately after birth, but not 60 minutes before. (Or why, even if it is murder, the mother should be allowed to commit it without punishment.) I think that a good case can be made that a fetus is not fully human, and undeserving of the same rights as an adult, but you have not made it here.
