# Ryan P. Long I don't think single issue parties work because...

Ryan P. Long I don't think single issue parties work because politicians don't just affect single issues, they affect many issues. What good is it to elect a someone good on cannabis decriminalization, if they're terrible on everything else? IMO, you have to take the politicians positions in toto, not just those on a single issue. Concentrating libertarians is necessary in order to be able to win politically, and to defend those wins. People who don't join will continue to spin their wheels, accomplishing little.
