It's ludicrous to assert that Mormons don't encourage in-group reproduction.  One of the main purposes  of the church is to encourage reproduction so that the spirits in the pre-existence have physical bodies.  And every Mormon girl is strongly encouraged to marry a nice Mormon boy and have a big family.  Marrying outside of the religion is better than adultery, but it's certainly _not_ encouraged.  Which you know if you grew up in the religion.
