# John Althouse Cohen I think c) is invalid because adding spoiler...

*May 27, 2022 — Comment Archer T. Ships replied to John Althouse Cohen's comment.*

John Althouse Cohen I think c) is invalid because adding spoiler alerts is a cost on the writer / reader. Avoiding spoilers at the beginning of a release makes sense, since the cost of alerts is outweighed by the cost of spoiling, but as more and more people see the media, then the cost of spoiling is outweighed by the cost of alerts.
