Scott Chelette We're not missing the point. We just don't think that 1) age restrictions are going to significantly reduce school shootings 2) even if they could, that it is worth infringing on the right of self defense for tens of millions of 18 - 21 year olds 3) the fact that the USG already infringes on self defense rights is no justification for _further_ impingements. We also think that there is a concerted effort to restrict self defense rights via a "death by a thousand cuts" strategy, and that age restrictions are a part of that strategy. Thankfully, technology is making such authoritarian nonsense increasingly moot.
