Andrew Wagner Both the BLM protesters and the Jan 6 protesters intended to sway the election.  So I don't think your claim that they are disjoint crimes holds water.  The main difference to me is that one group attacked  the politically powerless, and the other the politically powerful. I also think you're trying to paint the entire crowd as seditionists, when, at most, it was a few nutbars.  It's similar to treating the entire BLM protest crowd as murderers and arsonists, just because the crowd contained a few crazies with murderous intent.
