I once investigated becoming a "known sperm donor". Our intent was that I be known to the child, but not have any child support obligations. My attorney told me that state tries to do what's in the "best interests of the child". If the state can identify you as the biological father, then you're on the hook for child support, regardless of what the sperm donor contract says.
