Charles Well, you can believe anything.  But you haven't presented any objective evidence that spending on NASA resulted in more technological innovation than would've happened in the private sector. What we can say is that if you take other people's money by force, by definition, you're spending it on things that they value less than whatever it is you spend it on.  Otherwise, they would've given you the money voluntarily.
