Caroline. Let me emphasize that I'm just one guy, tastes vary, and that what matters most is what pleases you.  However, if your goal is to be more attractive, some people (such as myself) find that nose rings evoke a disgust response, due to the added entry points for disease and gunk accumulation.  I've never thought of someone "You know what would make their philtrum more attractive?  A nose ring."
