Keith Wiley The US government per capita spending on healthcare is higher than all other countries save Switzerland and Norway. So, at least in terms of government spending, the US is at least as socialist as almost any other "socialist" country. The US government also heavily regulates the healthcare market at every level, from dictating how many students graduate from medical school, to the number of MRI machines in a given county, to which insurance companies can practice in a given state.
