Twitter's censorship drove away half the US population. Twitter invented short form videos (Vine) and could've spun off the next Tik Tok. Twitter's staff, by all accounts, was bloated and lazy. IMO, Twitter could be much more profitable if it was better managed. Musk is stretched thin, but I don't think it's implausible that he (or more precisely, the management team he puts in place) could turn Twitter around.
