Brian Trosko Infinite hell is possible, but so is infinite heaven. Humans appear to have become more compassionate as our first order needs have been met. (Bear baiting, public executions, and other forms of cruel entertainment have largely disappeared in the Western world, for example.) I don't think it's reasonable to assume that our descendants will want to torment us.
