I'm happy because a) if turned toward anti-aging / cryonics / uploading research, myself and my loved ones may avoid decaying into piles of rotted meat b) there will be an explosion of creativity as services that were once only available to wealthy corporations (film/movie production studios, advertising firms, etc) will be accessible to everyone.
