If the Bible is to be believed, God drowned almost every living human on earth at one point. He sent bears to tear apart some teenagers who mocked a prophet for being bald. He demanded that one of his prophets stab his own son through the heart as a test of obedience. He promises that those who don't obey will be burned alive for the rest of eternity. If God existed, what ethical person would not be opposed to such psychopathic behavior?
