Gun dealers know that a certain percentage of the guns they sell will be used for crime.  Should they be imprisoned?  What about bartenders?  They know a certain percentage of their customers will kill/injure people in car accidents.   Defense lawyers know that many of their clients are truly criminals, and if they get them off, they'll commit crimes again.  Maybe they should be sterilized too.
