# Brett Cashman I expect that improvements in artificial womb...

*February 7, 2023 — Comment Archer T. Ships replied to Brett Cashman's comment.*

Brett Cashman I expect that improvements in artificial womb technology will be driven by the cultured meat business. (Which I expect to be huge due to cost and quality gains.) Other drivers will be women's desire not to destroy their figures with childbirth. Majority of women in Brazil (55%) also give birth via C-section in order not mess up their vaginas. Artificial wombs can also make for safer pregnancies for both mother and child--no drugs/alcohol, no risk of accident, no mobility limitations, no bladder issues, etc. Yes, sexbots are deep in the uncanny valley now, but give it another 10 - 20 years, and boinking an AI driven sex bot will seem no more strange than using a Magic Wand does today. Early sex bots will be driven as waldos by camgirls initially, then by AI's. Boinking VR characters is also going to be popular. Given changing sexual mores (20% of men are having 80% of the sex) there are a lot of lonely sex starved men out there to drive business.
