IMO, it's your house now.  I don't think you have an ethical obligation to do anything to accommodate their sensibilities.  You've already done them a kindness by letting them know you found their beloved cat.  However, it would be a courtesy to warn them about the decorations, so that they can choose whether to come inside or not. And, who knows?  Perhaps it won't phase them.  After all, Jesus admonished his followers to be kind to the sex workers of his day.
