Victoria Dobbs I'm sorry to hear your acquaintances suffered from nitrous abuse.  And, as I posted, I agree that it can cause severe damage if used too often. However, nitrous abuse isn't even a blip on the graph of the damage caused by smoking or alchohol (by any metric:  physical injury, medical costs, career damage, imprisonment, death, etc)  And the people slumped on the streets of the Tenderloin or downtown Oakland are almost certainly not there because of nitrous.
