Hannah I think in a well run partnership, people are compensated fairly for what they bring to the partnership.  In a marriage, many times, both parties will contribute roughly equally to the relationship.   It sounds like your partnership with Eric works that way.  But that's certainly not always the case.    And I think you can have healthy partnerships with different split ratios.
