There are lots of ways doomers could spend money to increase their chances:  buy ads, buy politicians, make public wagers, bet in the idea futures markets, pay for assassinations, pay for PETA style publicity stunts, pay for anti-AI tech, pay for industrial sabotage, etc. Doomers could also buy a lot of end time pleasures for themselves or others.
