# Vito Rispo I acknowledge that black people a) commit crimes at much...

*May 24, 2023 — Comment Archer T. Ships replied to John T. Kennedy's comment.*

Vito Rispo I acknowledge that black people a) commit crimes at much higher rates than other races b) that this increased criminality might be related to genetically determined traits (such as IQ) However, I don't think it follows that the best way to handle these facts is to coercively sterilize black people or drive them from the country. I want to live in a country where people are treated according to their own individual behavior, not collectively rewarded or punished based on the race or sex to which they belong. I also want to live in a culture that respects the rule of law, where rights can't be taken away from someone without a fair trial, and the government respects property rights, freedom of association, and freedom of movement. Cultures that don't follow those principles--Soviet Russia, North Korea, Venezuela--have proven to be monstrous places to live. So, I would vehemently oppose coercively sterilizing black people, or forcibly driving out of the country simply by virtue of their skin color. I _would_ support voluntary efforts to stop more criminals from being born, such as Project Prevention and Planned Parenthood. I also don't think we've completely exhausted cultural improvements that might be made--as East/West Berlin, and North/South Korea demonstrate, different cultures can produce dramatically different results, even with the same genetic stock. IMO, you would be best served by moving somewhere that was more culturally aligned with you. (Though I realize that is difficult for you for a variety of reasons. )
