Jennifer Madera Safier Agree that cats have their issues (litter box, and counter walking bother me the most). But dog have many more challenges, in my experience. Dogs roll around in dead things, rip things to shreds, demand daily walks, bark loudly, eat cat poop, demand frequent pets, shed everywhere, attack other cats/dogs, break into garbage cans/cupboards, and escape and roam the neighborhood. You can leave most cats alone for a weekend with a fresh litter box, food, and water, and they'll be fine. Most dogs will go crazy.
